As chairs of Wine, Women & Shoes 2009, we are working to help businesses like yours reach those women and generate a positive return on your investment. Teaming winemakers, style-makers, and sponsors with hard-working, intelligent, and “well-heeled” women has proven a rousing combination. Since women’s purchasing decisions are made in part through their interactions, we have re-tooled this year’s events to create sensible sponsorship packages that allow for opportunities to develop client relationships.
Wine, Women & Shoes impacts businesses in a positive way and supports families in a dramatic way by funding Forty Carrots Family Center’s Parenting Programs. Thanks to the generosity of its sponsors, last year’s Wine, Women & Shoes events raised over $120,000 to ensure vital parenting education reaches families in every corner of our community – including 7 county libraries. These funds have proven invaluable…Forty Carrots offers its services at absolutely no charge to the vast majority of its parents—enabling them to develop the skills necessary to raise their children confidently and successfully. And in these times our services have become even more necessary with added stresses on families.
Three separate and spectacular events – Private VIP Winemaker Reception, The Signature Luncheon, and Winemaker Dinners – come together to make Wine, Women & Shoes a purely pleasurable affair.
Private VIP Winemaker Reception, hosted at a wine cellar venue, invites sponsors and patrons to meet twelve of California’s finest women in wine, sample their offerings and mingle with other donors on Thursday, October 22. It is our way to clink our glasses and say a special thank you for your great support.
The Signature Luncheon takes place at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota on Friday, October 23rd and women who enjoy two of life’s greatest pleasures – wine and shoes – will not be disappointed. Features include an expanded marketplace with a wider range of price points featuring a dazzling array of the season’s most sought-after shoes and accessories and an innovative presentation of the smart, stylish buys that allows for more conversation. Our women in wine will pour their specially selected wines to be served with a delectable lunch.
Winemaker Dinners, hosted in private homes and specially selected restaurants, will be open to the public this year. We expect this change will increase sponsors’ exposure by attracting not only our loyal luncheon fans but also other interested parties. These delicious, intimate dinners are a perfect venue to talk one-on-one with potential clients.
